Swim Up Bars

Unique Custom Pools has years of experience incorporating the swim up pool bar or “lounge” into many of our custom swimming pool projects. Swim up bars are a great way to entertain your family and friends and enjoy poolside cocktails. They have become so popular, it’s probably one of the most sought after items in any pool construction but also one of the most expensive.  To build a swim up bar in one of our pool projects, one must have a complete plan of the entire project. A good swimming pool bar design needs to have many features planned out – drainage, shade, patio spaces, plant & tree locations, etc…

Our swim up bars and pool bars are truly unique and custom designed for each of our projects. Our professional tile settings and outdoor kitchenbuilders are standing by to develop and build some of our kitchen quality counter tops, tables and bars for the bar area of our projects. The sunken area requires retaining walls, and masonry work – who better to do this than a landscape contractor & masonry company (UNIQUE!). Most of our swim up bars have some of our  barbecues and outdoor kitchens – which are designed and constructed along with the swimming pool.

Shade is a critical feature over our swimming pool bars and swim-up bars. UNIQUE is a licensed general contractor that builds all of our own shade structures from Ramadas and Gazebos to Pergolas and Thatch Palapas. Pool contractors are not licensed to do this type of work, which is part of the reason they shy away from this extremely popular backyard feature!

Finally, every pool bar in Phoenix has to have some pretty special bar stools in the pool! Unique offers many ways of finishing these stools that range from tile & flagstone, to custom precast stool caps. The most economical way is the installation of a matching interior finish such as PebbleTEC or PebbleSheen. Don’t go cheap on your bar stools, it’s where you will be spending most of your relaxation time!
